Description
Lesson 08 · Subjuntivo Presente · The Wish-Magic Machine 🪄
One tense. One verb. One apple.
The Subjuntivo has a reputation for being hard – yet there is a simple trick behind it. Instead of memorising tables, you learn it with a picture: the Wish-Magic Machine 🪄. Everything that passes through the gate que is no longer a fact, but a wish. Everything revolves around one verb (comer) and one object (una manzana). That is very little – and that is exactly why it sticks.
- que yo coma
- que tú comas
- que él coma
- que nosotros comamos
- que vosotros comáis
- que ellas coman

Good to know
This is a lesson, not a complete textbook: it covers only the Subjuntivo Presente with the verb “comer”, with no irregular verbs. “él” stands for él, ella and usted, “ellas” for ellos, ellas and ustedes – the verb form is the same in each case.
